अष्टादश-मार्गः · The Eighteen-Book Arc — Gītā, The Awakening Call
अष्टादश-मार्गः  The Eighteen-Book Arc

A path out, and the same path home

Book X's own Synoptic Index reads its splendours in two movements — cosmogenesis, the universe coming to be, and anthropogenesis, the soul's own pilgrimage. Walked across all eighteen books, the whole song traces one arc: it opens on a single man's crisis, climbs toward the cosmic vision at its centre, and comes home to that same man, changed. This placement is our own reading of the shape — not a claim the text states outright.

सप्त परिवर्तनानि

Arjuna's seven turns

The song does not measure its disciple in verses covered. It measures him by what has turned in him, and at the very end it says the name out loud. So this reading is placed by turn, not by count.
