Every Splendour a Door — the ladder — Gītā, The Awakening Call
विभूतियोगः  Every splendour a door

A ladder, not a catalogue

Read straight through, the tenth book looks like a list of superlatives. It is not a list. In every class of things one member is foremost, and through that one the whole class becomes a door back to the One — which is why the telling is granted by the foremost only. So climb it one rung at a time: notice what is named, then meditate it as "I am".

The climb ends by admitting it was never the whole: whatever bears splendour anywhere is a spark of this. A catalogue would have been finished. A ladder only ever hands you the next rung — and the last rung says the rest is everywhere.
